In 1982 Ken Levin, now president of Amplexus Corporation, owned one of the most successful medical electronics manufacturing/distributing companies in the country. He managed 125,000 active accounts with over 1/4 million serialized inventory items. 

Like many owners and managers in the distributing business he was in dire need of a specialized software program to run his business. He spent $250,000 on a system but was only partially satisfied with its performance. 

Ken put his training as an electrical engineer and his experiences as a distribution business owner to work and created a completely new software system designed specifically for the wholesale distribution industry.
